The IT Department has created a website to help students spot the recent scourge of spam emails that students have been receiving in their inboxes — before they get tricked. The department is hoping to stem the rash of scams that has caused hundreds of students to get their email accounts shut down within the past month alone.
President Jennifer Raab was just listed in the 2018 “Women Power 100” by City & State magazine, coming in at number 54 alongside other women who are helping to make a change from their different platforms. Some of the women on the list were ones who rose to power in politics after the recent midterm elections, some are presidents of other colleges, and some are CEOs.
Introduced as a “living example of resistance to hate,” Judge Nelson A. Diaz recounted his path from public housing in Harlem to becoming a leading political activist for the Puerto Rican community in Philadelphia at a talk hosted last week by Centro, the college’s center for Puerto Rican studies.
Freshman, alumni and super-seniors alike came to perform at The Olive Tree Review’s open mic night last week, presenting original poetry, excerpts of novels, songs and even a few freestyle raps.
