Female athlete scores a place on men’s soccer team

Tia Abirizk is the only woman on the Hunter College men’s soccer team. There is no Hunter women’s team, so Abirizk pursued the best option to keep playing the sport.

The final game of the Hunter Hawks regular season on Feb. 11 was also senior night for five players who are graduating, and they were honored with flowers and a framed jersey.
