Meet The Hunter College Symphony Orchestra

Here’s an inside look at the Hunter College Symphony Orchestra.

The orchestra has 54 members from all different majors and is offered as an elective at Hunter College. People from across CUNY schools and alumni are welcome to audition and be part of it.

From compositions from Maurice Ravel, Edward Elgar to self-composed pieces, the orchestra tackles a variety of musical selections across many genres.

The music program offers six majors and masters programs with 100 undergraduate and 60 masters students. Through donors and department acquisitions, the music program is able to provide instruments for many of its students.

The symphony orchestra is open to all students and those who are interested are encouraged to reach out to Professor David Fulmer to inquire about auditioning.
