As we near the end of the year, it is a good time to reflect on how much you have changed. We interviewed Hunter students and asked them what they learned about themselves in 2024. Reflection is a positive thing as it promotes self-awareness and allows personal growth. Let’s see what our Hunter students said.<\/p>\n

Tom Sayegh, 23, Media<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\u201cI learned to appreciate others by doing a lot of group activities [and] working with people in front of cameras.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

Daniel Urbina, 22, Film<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\u201cI learned to be very social. When I was a history major, no one spoke to each other, but with film, I\u2019ve made so many connections and collaborations.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

Jasmina Ravshanova, Sophomore, Biology<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\u201cSo basically, I like analyzed what toxic patterns I have, and I\u2019ve been trying to figure out how to break those patterns\u2026. I learned at first, but throughout the course of the semester I\u2019ve been trying to break those patterns, so I\u2019ve been putting in effort.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jon Nietes, 19, Film Production<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\u201cI have to focus a lot more on time management. Especially considering it\u2019s finals week. I have to try to focus on that along with stuff at home and also personal projects since I am a film production major. Trying to maintain a calm mindset is something I know that I struggle with and something I have to do better.\u201d<\/p>\n

Celeste Morales, 27, Economics<\/p>\n

\u201cI learned that time management was one of my weaker skills, and that I needed to lock in if I wanted to be successful as a student and get my degree. Working full-time five days, and coming to school part-time was hard, and I had to figure out how to juggle both. I was already on autopilot at work, but now I have to dedicate specific time and focus towards my success in school and my studies. But I learned to take a little bit of time every day in order to stay sharp in my classes. And that’s what’s worked best for me.\u201d<\/p>\n
