College can be an overwhelming experience, especially when you just need some peace and quiet to relax or study.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ever wonder where else you can study that isn\u2019t the crowded sky bridge or the library? Here are three hidden spots to study at Hunter College that is easily accessible with your school ID.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Spot #1: <\/b>The Benches on the Fourth Floor at Hunter North\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Need a place where you<\/span> can be comfortable and be able to relax without the loud noises of the library?<\/span><\/p>\n

If you’re in the West Building, go to the third floor and walk the sky bridge to the North Building and take the stairs to the fourth floor. There are seats on the fourth floor between the Music and Theater departments.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe fourth floor North Building seats are comfortable,\u201d stated Catherine Garcias, a Media major with a minor in Music. \u201cI never really moved from there ever since my sophomore year. I would sit there because I had classes on that floor and would wait in between my breaks” she said.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Spot #2: <\/b>Outdoor Terrace in the West Building\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hunter College has an outdoor seating area located on the eighth floor that is accessible to students who need fresh air or somewhere relaxing to study.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cOne time in the spring semester, I needed a nice quiet place to study before class and I just happened to go there and it was very quiet,\u201d said Jelianny Cruz, a Psychology major. \u201cI even got to witness people sleeping or stepping outside to sit outdoors.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

You can get to this location by either taking the escalator until the seventh floor and then the elevator at the West building or just take the elevator on the third floor to the eighth floor.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a great place to study if you want to be outside and still have access to WiFi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Spot #3:\u00a0<\/b> The Couches in the Baker Theater Building<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Baker Theater Hunter building, at <\/span>151 <\/span>East 67th St.<\/span>, <\/span>is where you go to take theater classes that are not in the main North Building on the fourth and fifth floor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Once you get out of the train, walk to 67th Street, turn left, and you can\u2019t miss the building. You can go in but don’t forget to scan your Hunter ID.\u00a0 On the first floor or the lobby, there are seats that aren’t usually crowded or loud. Vending machines are also nearby.<\/span><\/p>\n

If the seats in the lobby are unavailable, there is a connection between the East building and the Baker Theatre building that also have seats and tables to sit at and study.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s very peaceful and relaxing because there isn\u2019t a crowd of students being loud,\u201d said Cruz. \u201cTaking ‘Intro to Theater’ really helped me find this place.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
