NYPD shuts down Club Heat

A restraining order posted on the door of Club Heat.

The heat is finally off.

Club Heat, the strip club at 405 Hunts Point Ave. that has recently drawn fire for a rash of violence on its premises, was ordered shut last week by the state Supreme Court and the NYPD for hiring unlicensed security guards.

The club’s owner was scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 27.

The club, which has been open for four months, has been the site of numerous shootings, stabbings and security violations. In December, 33-year-old Monique Rodriguez was killed by a stray bullet from a crossfire between two patrons at the club in the wee hours. Rodriguez did not know either of the men.

On January 21, two customers were shot and another was stabbed.

Also in January, police issued a violation to the owners for employing an unlicensed security guard.
