Of the six licensed day care centers within the boundaries of Community District 2 that care for children younger than 6, only one is on the Hunts Point peninsula–La Penninsula Head Start, which serves children ages 3-5.
The other five are all located in Longwood. Three of them serve children ages 3-5. One, H.P.M.S-Rosa Wardell Day Care Center, serves children ages 3-6, and the United Bronx Parents Inc. Day Care Center, serves children ages 2-6.
